End of a Yoga Teacher Training and Ayurveda Yoga Holiday at the Ashram - 17 Nov 10

Swami Ji

Yesterday was the last day of the yoga teacher training and the last day of the Ayurveda Yoga Holiday. With this day the intensive month of retreats at the Ashram is over and we can look back on four exciting weeks with our participants. I asked to just give us a short feedback how they experienced the time at the Ashram.

Miguidet, who has been here for the longest wrote down a few lines for me that I would like to share with you because they touched me and made me very happy:

“Being in your home has been an unique experience, sharing with your family, with the children and with the staff, that allowed me to experience many emotions and moments of reflexion, and to open my heart for an internal healing as well as an intensive external practice focusing in the ‘yoga of love’. Thank you very much to all of you. Miguidet”

Gulabo, whom we had met in Cologne before she came to India, wrote:

“It was a good experience for me to stay at the Ashram. I like to look into the smiling mirror of Swami Ji’s eyes. Love, Gulabo”

Verena, whom we met only here and who enjoyed India for the first time:

“A very intense experience. I got a lot and feel how it is working…deep inside."

It is beautiful to read such words. In order to properly celebrate new-found friendships and our love, we had a very nice dance party yesterday evening. We had lots of fun and danced together with the boys of the Ashram until late night.

There is something about the ashram that starts movement and growth deep inside. I'm sure the yoga students learned a lot externally, as well... but so much growth here happens internally without you even trying! Though I have not been taking a yoga teacher training here, I have been spending a lot of time with myself and marveling at the cultural ways of India. It has certainly started a whirlwind of growth for me, internally, that I'm sure I will still be processing when I return to the U.S. And I am eternally grateful! Lots of love! :)

Glad to hear from others how they've enjoyed your kindness on the ashram.
