Help for the hungry
Hunger is still the no.1 cause of death in the world and a third of the world's hungry live in India. Each minute, five Indians die of hunger which makes 7000 each day and 2.5 million people dying of hunger in India every year.*
Did you ever ask yourself how we can help world hunger? Well, obviously one person alone cannot feed all hungry stomachs on earth. But when we get together, we can do something! And yes, even a small contribution, even just feeding one hungry child a day, can make a difference! We are trying to make a difference in the lives of the children of our school and with this help their families. In our Kindergarten and Primary School they learn for free and get a warm lunch free of cost. To many families knowing that their child will be fed here is a big relief as they have one thing less to worry about. But it is not only the children who eat at the Ashram. The older students and workers also live, eat and drink in here. Three cooks are keeping our kitchen warm the whole day in order to feed all of these people. Normally it is around 200 hungry stomachs that want to be filled. Food for a Day
You can help us feeding them by sponsoring the food for a day at the Ashram. For only 95 Euro you can feed 200 people and get their blessing. Your name will be announced on our website and on a board in the Ashram as today’s sponsor. We will send you pictures of the lunch so that you can enjoy seeing all the happy faces.
Swami ji always encourages people to give joy to others on days that are full of joy for themselves. An anniversary or a birthday can give the occasion to become the sponsor of today’s food in the Ashram. If you are searching for a special gift for someone it is a great idea to give them the honour of being a sponsor for one day’s food! Donate to charities for someone of whom you know he or she would enjoy the joy of others. Make someone happy by this contribution to happiness. If you do not wish to choose a certain date or have difficulties with the sponsorship process, you can also simply sponsor the food for a day by making your donation through the below and teeling us the date you want to sponsor in an email to info@jaisiyaram.com. 22/Feb/2012

We invite you to contribute food for a day and to celebrate your days of joy in the Ashram. It costs only 95 Euro to donate for one day's food at the Ashram. We will send you pictures with your name written on a blackboard as the sponsor while the children are eating.
Please pick your date in the calendar beside. You need to sign up or log in and will then be able to sponsor a day's food for our children. On the dates which are coloured in RED the food is already sponsored for Food For A Day. If it is coloured in ORANGE somebody celebrates in the Ashram by feeding poor people on this day. If a day is coloured in PURPLE the food for the Ashram family and children is sponsored and poor people are also invited to come to a celebration (Bhandara). In all three cases you are welcome to celebrate at the Ashram, too. Just click on the date and let us know how many people we should invite for you. If a date is in GRAY it is waiting for approval. You can sponsor food for the dates in GREEN colour. To select a day please click on it. If you sponsor food for a day, Swami Ji offers to give you your personal Mantra for free. Simply send an email and let us know for what situation or issue you would like to use your Mantra.
