Swami Ji

I said yesterday that I do not see it as a good thing to be afraid of bad Karma. I do not like the fear that is created in people not only of Karma but also of God. You should not be afraid of God! You should not live your live in fear! This makes more problems, gives you the feeling of never being sure and keeps your self-confidence low. There are some Hindu traditions that are creating fear in the people and I also find this in many countries in the west where the Christian church had or has big influence. People have a picture of God as the judge who will punish you for whatever you do wrong, for all small and big sins. I do not believe in this. I believe that God does not judge or punish. If you do a sin against nature, then you will feel the consequences as we are now experiencing global warming and many problems because we were abusing the nature, polluting rivers, air and forests. Your own body nature also punishes you if you act against it. A small example: if it is your nature to eat two slices of bread for breakfast then you feel good with that and are fit for the day. And if you decide one day to eat four slices of bread instead of two it is against your body nature and as a punishment or simply as a consequence you will feel heavy and tired. In this way you can say nature punishes. But God does not. God is not judging about what we do. God is Love and Love is God. There is no condition, nothing that we can do wrong. It is just God, loving us, knowing who we are.
