Yesterday I told a story and
today I would like to show you how important the
essence of this story is. We are used to a lot of
things that are not really pure, not really true,
just like the milk in the story. And if something
pure comes, if someone tells us something true we
cannot really digest that well just like the people
in the story.
To make
this a little bit more clear I will give you an
example. We use to ignore our feelings. We do not
respect them because we are afraid that there is
something wrong with them, that we are wrong. That
is why we are acting and pretending to be someone
else. We pretend to have other feelings. It is an
artificial world that we create around us, not the
original. And when suddenly something true comes
through, some emotions come up and we see who we
really are we get afraid. There is no reason to get
afraid but we are not used to these feelings so we
refuse to accept them. This can create a big
confusion and will finally lead to one thing:
previous decisions, talk and actions seem to be
wrong. So we start changing our actions more to what
we really are. But suddenly, doubts come again. Are
we good enough like this? Were we better
before? And then we come back to the old habits of
acting the role of someone we would like to be. By
this our surroundings will get the impression that
we are changing our mind all the time. How can you
trust someone who is constantly changing his mind?
What we
really have to learn is to accept ourselves. This
will bring the trust back into our lives.
