Being and feeling well - but how?

The state of well being is a rare gem, that every human being desires. It is also a quality that is not easy to either attain or maintain in today's world. We may travel miles in the quest for happiness and well being and spend lots of money, but we may not get what we want. Yet the source of this quality is not really somewhere outside, but within our own selves. It is a quality that we carry with us, but which we are often not aware of. Our state of well being is our real home. And even if we are rich and have a healthy body, we only feel really good when we are happy and when our mind is at peace.

It is scientifically proved, that a positive and peaceful inner disposition improves our immune system and makes us more resistant to viruses and also lowers the risk of attaining various other serious illnesses, like cancer or heart diseases etc.

Meditation, Breathing and Spiritual Healing complementing general medicine

Meditation and Pranayama techniques (breathing exercises) help us to gain inner peace and to preserve it. However at the beginning of our spiritual practice we sometimes don't find peace when we sit and meditate, as our mind is too much influenced by the numerous impressions of daily life. Then meditation can seem like entering a room, that is full of things that we don't need, but which we have accumulated. And there seems to be no free space for peace and happiness to unfold. So meditation becomes hard work, because we constantly find ourselves clearing off the room, that our mind reflects and try to make space for a new and better feeling.
Sometimes during this process of clearing off the chamber of our mind our physical body also suffers, as we may develop a headache or feel pain in other parts of the body, where the accumulated stress and mental blockages slowly get dissolved. Sometimes the pain may be so strong that we may feel the need to take medication to combat our physical ailment. But our body is not just a physical entity, that only exists by itself. At this point we cannot explore the fact as to which form of pain therapy is more appropriate, as the answer may vary from case to case. Nevertheless we can assert, that a mere treatment with medicines often does not cure an illness completely. The reason is because our body is not just an entity that exists by itself, rather it is connected to our mind and soul like the pearls in a necklace. When the thread tears and a pearl falls off, then the whole necklace breaks. So the illness occurs on all the three levels.

We need to preserve these conditions so that our body, mind and soul can work together, for they need and help each other to stay in harmony, balance and to function well.

Spiritual Healing with Mantra Meditation

When we have a spiritual healing with Swami ji, he helps with his advice as well as his love and prayer so that he or she feels stronger or loses pain and can deal with the illness or problem. So Swami ji helps the individual to help him or herself. He also recites ancient and very special mantras, that have a very strong potential to heal. But what is a so-called mantra? Grammatically the word mantra consists of the two syllables man and tra. Man refers to our mind, our ability to think, reflect, memorize etc. Tra something like a shield or that which protects us. So a mantra is a word, phrase or a verse that protects us. It is said that mantras are like bijas or seeds that germinate and unfold their qualities within us when they are recited or repeated.

When our chakras are harmonized then our own healing agents become active again. The healing often speeds up and improves the extent of the recovery from an illness and it complements conventional medicine.

Touch Therapy - Spiritual Healing by Swami Balendu

Swami ji performs what he calls a "Touch Therapy". The special healing method of Swami ji has a lot to do with the nature of human beings: As we all know, all human beings need personal relationships and an affectionate touch, because it keeps us alive and it is our nature. Furthermore we also need to perceive reality from a personal perspective in order to understand ourselves and the world that we live in. Similarly we also seek a personal relationship to God, as we also look for personal relationships among humans. When we consciously feel the quality of the energy, then it can work in our body more effectively. A kind and tender touch is also the door or the pathway to our soul. Some people said that Swami ji's touch felt like refreshing water. The way a person feels is certainly individually different, but the main issue is that the healing harmonizes and unites our body, with our mind and soul and helps us to heal from inside out.

By appreciating Swami ji's work of healing we can also learn to discover and appreciate our own positive inner qualities and make them work for us. The realization of our own positive qualities unfolds a power that is very healing. For the act of appreciation is in itself potentially very healing. In this way we can improve our own well-being and also be a positive influence on those with whom we share our heart and home. Our positive nature can then also radiate to the world that we live in.
