Is food at the Ashram suitable for western stomachs?

Yes, it definitely is!
Tourists in India often have difficulties in India because the food is very hot. The Shree Bindu Sewa Sansthan Ashram cooks Ayurvedic food that is healthy, balancing and additionally very well digestible also by western stomachs. The Ashram kitchen prepares only vegetarian food without meat, fish, poultry or eggs. We don't use onions or garlic in our food and never cook with chili.
As a result, the food is never hot, you can taste the variety of spices without burning your mouth on whole chilis in your food.
Every vegetable is washed in filtered water before cooked and all milk is boiled before its use in the kitchen.
This all immensely reduces the risk of getting the 'welcome disease' of India, diarrhea. However we have experienced often that the body may need one day to get accustomed to the style of food but that after that period there are no further problems.
If you are planning to stay at the Ashram and have any kind of food allergy, please let us know beforehand and we will let you know whether it is possible for us to cook for you.
Delicious Indian food is waiting for you!
