In a Chakra Dance Party Swami Ji tells that this is the communication chakra which is responsible for expressing ourselves. This is very important. And for expressing yourself and opening your throat chakra, the best exercise is to sing. Sing along with the flute and the singer or sing freely on your own and feel how your throat chakra opens.

This chakra is located near the place where the neck starts. The Element of this chakra is sound and the colour is bright blue. It symbolizes the pure consciousness, and creativity. On a psychic level, it governs expression and inspiration in speech. On the physical level it controls the activity of the vocal cords, the hearing and esophagus. The corresponding glands are the thyroid and parathyroid. Vishuddhi chakra is the symbol of sound, dreams and purity. The activation of its energy favors the understanding of non-verbal messages.

Physical problems: Problems of neck, mouth, thyroid gland, throat, shoulder, ears. Infection, difficulties of hearing, expression, communication, arthritis, deafness.
