Spiritual withdrawal from the world
"Swami ji's Three Years, 108 days - Meditation in a Cave". Swami ji had a strong wish to perform a spiritual devotion (tapasya). An underground cave was built at Swami
ji's Ashram in Vrindavan. Swami ji entered the cave on 10th of September 1997 and came out of the holy cave on 24th December 2000.
In the cave the great Lord Shri Hanuman ji Maharaj was installed. There was no entrance to the cave and the only way to get in would have been by breaking the wall. In this context Swami ji said: "For three years neither I should see anyone nor should anyone else be able to see me, only I and my Lord should be there exclusively". Also earlier His Holiness had several times remained silent (Moun) for three to six months. However as he pointed out "while maintaining silence only the sense of speech was controlled - the remaining senses such as sight and hearing were not controlled, and continued to distract. In the cave however, all three senses would be kept under control and all wishes and habits would be integrated into the meditation on the Lord".
For three years there was no communication whatsoever, either verbal or written. It was also impossible to send any messages inside. Throughout this whole period His Holiness only took fruit and milk. Attendees delivered food through a window slit in the cave at a scheduled time. However it was impossible to either look into or out of the cave through this window. The cave was equipped with a toilet and bathroom facilities. As per schedule, six hours were spent for sleeping, eating and morning rituals and the remaining eighteen hours were available for spiritual devotion.
When Swami ji came out of the cave on 24.12.2000 thousands of people had gathered at his Ashram to be blessed by seeing him (darshan). He had now evolved spiritually even further and he started his work of healing. Today he is a spiritual healer and an expert in the field of Yoga and Meditation. For this he travels all around the world, gives discourses,
Yoga workshops and
healing sessions.
As Swami ji has devotees all over the world he travels extensively throughout Germany, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Greece, Spain, England, Scotland, Ireland, The Caribbean, Fiji Islands, New Zealand and Australia.
