Guru

What is the real meaning of the word 'Guru' and what is a Guru nowadays?

In his blog Swami ji has dedicated this category to both, real and fake gurus. He elaborates on the roots of different traditions and again and again comes to the point that, although it is good to learn from others, you can never put the responsibility of your own actions on someone else's shoulders.

Swami Ji himself has lived the life of a guru and who could have a better insight than a former guru? However after his spiritual retreat for three years in a cave, he left the life of a guru and just wants to be a friend.
