It is a joy to read Swami Ji’s thoughts in his diary and very often you might assume, he wrote down a special message just for yourself. Being a western yogini and a healer myself, I often wondered about the money-topic in our modern world. Talking with people about paying for energy work gives different opinions. There are these who say that healers shouldn’t charge for the help they are giving. Others tell you, your work is worth a lot more than money can buy. Both opinions are not really of big help for the healer, who has to pay for rent, electricity, gas, food and clothing. The healers’ work seems to be so easy and effortless. Energy workers just sit or move their hands – and that seems to be it. Who really knows about the effort it takes to become an enabled healer, a person so deeply cleaned from blockages, fear and addictions, that she or he is capable of serving as an instrument for the divine? How many of all those so called spiritual people, who are struggling to become healers, have got the willpower, devotion and ongoing discipline to let go each and every attempt of the ego to take control? Nowadays you can pay for many different kinds of training to become a healer. It is possible to learn numerous techniques for doing energy work, but no certificate in the world can give proof of a highly developed spirit and mind of its proud owner.

You have to practice in all earnestness, for a long time and without any break, so Patanjali tells us, to achieve the pure condition, which makes it possible to control the innumerable modifications of the mind. This means you have to dedicate your complete life to your own healing in order to be able to spread the peace and love you found. Then - and if you are able to keep up constant awareness - you start to be a light for those, who got lost in the dark patterns of their minds. This might be the conscious work of a lifetime or maybe even more. Whoever has achieved this state is giving pure light, which is healing power, automatically to those, who are in her or his presence.

In this world of duality there can only be health and prosperity, if everything is in balance. There is day and night, hot and cold, sweet and sour … whenever you get too much of one side, you feel at least uncomfortable. A person who dedicated the life to giving needs to get something back in return for keeping balance.

In ancient days, when money had not yet been invented, it was usual to give goods in exchange. For giving flour you got salt, for giving wool you got soap … and so on.

Man established money as just a practical exchange medium. Then he created a problem. If you have much of it, you can have fun in exchanging a lot. Money is a terrific medium to keep energy in flow, to give and take … but mankind put money in a position, where the value of life should be. Missing the deep knowledge of life’s value and true nature, man got lost in the illusionary belief in the lack of fundamental supply. As a result people seem to be more afraid of loosing money than of loosing their lives and keep their money stored for “bad times”. They lost the proper feeling what needs to be done to get things into balance in the present, which is necessary for leading a peaceful and happy life and is also the prerequisite for a prosperous future.

A person like Swami Ji, dedicated to pure love and life in the present, doesn’t have to explain what he is using his money for. Who clearly observes his way of living has – if not projecting his own issues on him – to realize the way he keeps up a balanced energy flow. Being satisfied with about four to five hours of sleep he works the rest of each day. His work provides people all over the world with spiritual help on the highest level. The money he gets, he gives away for children charity projects, for those who are in need of material help. I challenge those, who think energy work doesn’t need to be paid, to tell me how to provide the basics for the physical and mental wellbeing of the man, who dedicated his whole life to help those in spiritual and material needs. If not in the form of money, then please bring the necessary goods to wherever in this world he is working right now.
