To give love and to receive love is the same – I am in love! To give and to receive is the same – I am in abundance!

Community and Union
My name leads me through life. Since I have realized that, my attention is more focused on indications. I am quite amazed when I see at our arrival four stylized images of the lily – the fleur-de-lis - in stucco on the ceiling of our room in the ashram. The fleur-de-lis as a Christian symbol represents purity and a threefold principle. It represents abstract ideas or concepts with a holy meaning. Christian symbols were important in former times when the majority of people could not read, when writing and printing were unknown. After two weeks in the ashram I have obtained clarity: The magic of the place is love and union in community. It is the same magic that captures us when we look into the eyes of children. I have internalized many images and feelings here that bring me back to another time – the time of Jesus and his apostles. These memories were awakened in me many years ago when I studied the Christian mysticism of Daskalos in Cyprus. When we then sang the “Our Father” in Aramaic, my tears just rolled down. The stories about Mary Magdalene made me tremble. When we sit here around the fire without talking, with light in our eyes, I am in this feeling. The light of the soul in the eyes, perceived with the eyes of love, signifies enlightenment, union and closeness to God. It is the light that newborns bring to earth, that reveals their closeness to God. Feelings cannot be expressed in words; they are beyond words. I sense this also intensely with Roland. We are a silent couple, you won’t believe it! Words are also not necessary with Balendu, Purnendu, Yashendu and Ramona. Constant talking comes from the ego – silence is based on being. Our ashram is permeated by the transforming powers of love and being loved. To dive in this river, to bath in it, to enjoy it, gives at least as much contentment as a bath in the river Ganges!!!! To give love and to receive love is the same – I am in love! To give and to receive is the same – I am in abundance!
