Virtual Enlightenment
- By Steven Sadleir
- Published 2 October 2008
Within
one generation technology has brought the world together in ways unimaginable
to most people. We have extended our awareness through satellite, cellular and
fiber optic applications. The World Wide Web has created a global mind with
information being shared with millions in seconds; ideas move through the World
Wide Web much like thought moving through fields of neurons in our brain.
Where
we used to have most of our classes in a room, now most people are dialing in
through teleconference lines, and listening to our classes on their PDA's and
iPods; we grew from a few hundred to tens of thousands all over the world in
just a couple years! Our Institute is virtual, each staff member works out of
their home, and I rarely even meet the students I work with in person. It's not
necessary; transmitting Shakti is even more effective virtually since the
teacher is not the person but the spirit that is non-physical.
This
adaptation of technology has also provided an opening in consciousness that
enables me to connect with you in ways unimagined in earlier times. Where
Shaktipat had traditionally been transmitted through physical touch or presence
from teacher to student, it is now broadcast virtually like a satellite signal
to students all over the globe. For the first time in history people half way
around the globe can connect with the Shakti anytime by simply "tuning
in" to the life force that passes through me to you. In this way we join
in spirit and commune in Divine Grace. We are all connected in spirit.
This
month we launch our Membership program. Now anyone with a computer, anywhere in
the world, can connect energetically to our spiritual community and radically
accelerate their instinctive evolutionary enlightenment. The spiritual
connection is transferred through voice, written words, and through spirit
itself. You have been called to awaken from the dream and fulfill your life
purpose. You are part of a growing body of people who are being led to full
enlightenment and you know this instinctively. Your enlightenment is creating
the critical mass that is shifting the collective consciousness of humanity so
we can all live together in happiness and peace. I look forward to sharing with
you more.

On Shaktipat
- By Steven Sadleir
- Published 2 October 2008
That
which causes life within you, is you. The spirit that animates your physical
being is an expression of your consciousness…it is known as Shakti. Your
consciousness is what is reflecting upon these words and guiding you to read
them. Observe your mind thinking. Who is observing these thoughts you are
thinking?
When
our body and mind are congruent with the expression of consciousness flowing
through you there is clarity, happiness and peace. To the degree your mind is
incongruent with your spirit there is resistance and pain. Pleasure and pain
serve as benchmarks of your state of consciousness. They are your guides on
your path to enlightenment.
The
more connected you are with your spirit and the expression of consciousness
flowing through your body and mind the happier you are. The more conscious you
are the more peace pervades. All your life experiences are providing you the
opportunity to learn and grow and evolve your consciousness to its highest
expression…full self-realization.
Each
state that you evolve to carries a higher energy. You "conduct" your
state of consciousness. By tuning into higher states of consciousness you
become familiar with them. When I meditate with you, in person or not, my
spirit and yours connect and you naturally tune into these higher states, this
is called Shaktipat. The more familiar with these higher states you become, the
more you reside in them until you experience them all the time. This is an easy
and enjoyable path to enlightenment. Experience it for yourself.

Conscious Capitalism
- By Steven Sadleir
- Published 2 October 2008
For the world to
enlighten we must first enlighten, and bring this higher awareness into every
facet of our lives including business. Capitalism affords the opportunity to
aspire to achieve a better life, liberty and happiness, but all too often also
breeds greed and corruption. At a lower state of consciousness the ends
justifies the means, at a higher state it benefits society. In a
“materialistic” culture money becomes the God, that we seek and humans become
devalued.I have spent a lifetime studying God and money, and from my
perspective when serving others is the goal, greater good and profit result. I
have a plan, a way that brings out the best in capitalism and it is simply
this:
Rather than trying to make money, our goal as individuals and businesses should
be to make a difference. If we can make a real contribution, that contribution
is valued and we become valued and money comes. This is the key to the Law of Attraction: it’s
not trying to get what you want, but helping others with what THEY need or
want. If we only seek to benefit ourselves, or a select few, then we miss the
greater value of making a difference. Making a difference, making a
contribution to other’s lives, is what life is all about; and it’s good for
business too. We find greater purpose and meaning when we make a contribution.
Just making money will not fulfill you, making a difference will.
If we really do care and want to make a difference, then we think green, we
think sustainable, renewable and what is in the best interest of others
including the generations to come. To seek to make money and not account for
the costs in terms of its long term affects on our society, our natural
resources, and our environment is a short term gain (financial) at a long term
cost, which is bad for business and our society. To promote products and
services that benefit the well being of all, through your purchases and investments,
adds value to the world, to spend and consume for pure self interest is short
sighted and costly to society. The more conscious we are the happier we are
both individually and collectively.
To improve the world we must first intend to. As we think prosperity, happiness
and peace, we create it. The world around you is a reflection of your state of
consciousness. When you care about the welfare of your employees, they provide
greater productively and loyalty to your company. When you care about your
customers, they support your business. This has been tested again and again and
proven to be true. Think in terms of what you can do for others and watch your
business grow… and your heart; profit as a prophet.

Tantra: The Art of Divine Sexual Union
- By Steven Sadleir
- Published 2 October 2008
That
which caused life within us is us. The life force energy, or spirit, that
animates our own existence is an expression of the consciousness that lies at
the very core of our being. The same spirit that is causing my heart to beat is
also causing yours to. This underlying spirit is creating and guiding all life
through the universe. You are a part of this greater wholeness of being. Being
aware of this interconnection is Tantra.
Tantra
literally means "that which extends." It refers to our awareness
extending beyond the form and into the underlying essence of all that
is…enlightenment. The Tantric Yogi's of India, and later Tibet and China,
connected with the life force within themselves to connect with the Source of
life itself. Once you realize the Source of life within yourself you realize
the Source of life itself...God Realization.
The
meditation that we teach is Tantric. It comes from an ancient lineage that
dates back thousands of years through the Siddha lineage in the Tamil Nadu
state in South India. The part of Tantra that people take the most interest
involves yogic sexual intercourse to achieve Divine Sexual Union. By first
recognizing this Divine Presence within your partner, and by your partner
recognizing this Divine Presence within you, you both serve to help each other
to raise your consciousness. Your lovemaking becomes a spiritual discipline or
yoga.
By
bringing your energies together and consciously moving this sacred energy
between you and within you, you can awaken your consciousness and experience
profound states of bliss…like an orgasm, but stronger.

You Are Being Guided
- By Steven Sadleir
- Published 2 October 2008
We
human beings are instinctively being guided to evolve. As with all creatures,
we must adapt to changes in our environment to survive and flourish. We can see
evidence of this evolutionary trend in our physiology, our society, and in our
technology. Our brains continue to develop, an increasingly large percentage of
humanity is becoming literate and educated, and technology has provided
immediate access to billions of people's minds through phone cells and chip
sets. Satellite and Internet infrastructure is providing a "global
mind" where we see and think the same thing at the same time, as one
consciousness. The critical mass of what we think shifts the consciousness of
individuals on a global scale. How we think affects the quality of our life,
and even our survival.
Each
day of your life you are provided experiences where you have to make choices in
how you think and behave. The more conscious you are the more those choices
bring greater happiness and peace into your life. You have learned from your
life experiences what brings greater pleasure or pain into your existence, and
have adapted your ways of thinking, feeling and behaving to increase the
pleasure in your life and reduce the pain. The more conscious you have become,
the greater clarity, happiness and peace you have gained by evolving your
conscious awareness.
Your
instinct has guided you to learn, and grow, and evolve to your highest
potential, and it still is. You have been guided to these words to reflect on
them. The more conscious you become of how you are being guided, the more you
will see how you are being guided. The more conscious you become of the
consciousness that is guiding you, the more conscious you become. Your
consciousness evolves the more conscious you become of your consciousness. As
you become more conscious you gain greater clarity, happiness and peace. It is
only when we become unconscious that we think, say or do things that hurt
ourselves or others. Only unconscious people hurt others, lie, cheat, steel,
abuse or hate. Only an unconscious society disrespect others rights, destroy
its natural resources, overpopulates or wages war.
We
evolve through the tests and trials of daily living, both individually and
collectively as a society. Lessons learned help to evolve us, but when we are
not conscious of what we are being tested in we fail the test and get tested
again and again until we learn and either further evolve, or perish. You have
been guided to this moment of introspection in order to reflect upon your own
place in the evolution of your own consciousness, and the role you might play
in awakening the collective consciousness of humanity so that we might all live
together in happiness and peace. You are part of a rapidly growing segment of
the population that is awakening to full consciousness. Your individual
awakening is contributing to the critical mass that is shifting the
consciousness of the planet; you are preparing the way for an evolutionary leap
in human consciousness. You are building the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

The Amazing Shakti
- By Steven Sadleir
- Published 2 October 2008
Everything
in existence owes its existence to a life force current, or spirit, that
animates its existence. The same energy that causes my heart to beat is causing
your heart to beat. The same innate intelligence that is directing the movement
of every atom, molecule and cell of your body, is also directing the movement
of every being, planet, star and galaxy. And the same volition that is
compelling me to write these words for you to read has moved you to read them.
Shakti
is that life force that is conducting this play of life. The more you connect
with it, the more connected you are…the more clarity, insight…the more
happiness and peace. Meditation on the Shakti within you brings your mind in
direct awareness with the very essence of who you are. The more connected you
are with who you are the more easily you are going to be guided to fulfilling
your life purpose and find greater meaning and purpose in life.
As
you are reading these words and reflecting upon their meaning what are you
feeling? Take a moment to reflect upon the very volition that brought you to
this moment. You are being guided, just as I am. Spirit is guiding us all to
evolve our conscious awareness, to realize our highest potential and fulfill
the very purpose for which we incarnated. You are part of a growing mass of
humanity that is leading the way to bringing forth a world that we all want to
live in. Deep inside you know this. Go to this place within you that already
know. This is meditation.
The
more you go within and connect with the life force within you, the more this
inner knowing develops. You don't try to meditate, you simply observe the life
force within you and enjoy it. Rather than trying to meditate, you allow
yourself to be meditated. The more open you are to receive, the more you will
receive. Let me come to you in spirit. Let us join in Divine embrace, like
children playing in a Heavenly Kingdom that lies within us. Right now you are
connected. Take a moment to close your eyes and feel your spirit guiding you. I
will meet you there.

The Power Lies Within You
- By Steven Sadleir
- Published 2 October 2008
Your
source of power lies within you. The answers lie within. Happiness and peace
lie within. You know this all already innately. The same life force energy that
makes your heart beat enables you to create the world you want to live in. The
same innate intelligence that knows how to regenerate the cells in your body
also provides the answers and direction to fulfill your life purpose. You have
the opportunity right now to realize your own potential by simply taking some
time to explore the possibility.
Look
at your life right now. What do you want? What do you need? What if you could
manifest your desires? What if you could realize your dreams? Wouldn't it be
worth taking a few minutes to look and see what possibilities lie within? The
practice of going within is meditation. There are many forms of meditation, but
the one we teach is to simply observe your own life force energy or spirit.
That which animates your existence is you. That which brings life to your mind
and body holds the key to realizing your potential, realizing your dreams,
realizing your self.
Right
now your heart is beating. Simply observe this. You are not personally making
it beat. You don't make it beat, and short of killing yourself you can't make
it stop. What is that that makes you
tick? Find that, and you find the source of power within that can make all the
difference in your life. Things can, and will, start shifting as soon as you
have the presence of mind to seek it. Even your consideration of this
possibility is awakening something from within you. What is causing you to
consider this? What is compelling you to read these words? Observe that
volition.
Once
you realize, that there is something to be realized, your realization has
begun. Each time you meditate, each time you reflect on this possibility, each
time you go within, you water a seed of consciousness that is already
germinating within you. You have been lead to read these words by your own
innate intelligence. Your spirit is guiding you to realize your dreams…to
realize your Self. This self-awareness brings greater clarity, happiness,
prosperity and peace. Don't let your mind get in the way. Listen to the calling
of your own indwelling spirit. You will hear it within the silence of your own
mind. I will meet you there.

The Art and Science of Meditation
- By Steven Sadleir
- Published 2 October 2008
Meditation
has been practiced in various forms for thousands of years all over the world.
From the jungles of Borneo to the Ganges River, Tibetan tundra to Siberian back
woods, shamans, sadhus and seekers alike have gone within to find God, find
themselves, find purpose and meaning in life. Archaeological relics from the
ruins of Mohenjo-Daro in western Punjab, India depict the ancient yogic deity
Shiva (as An) sitting cross-legged meditating on his “Third Eye” in a state of
transcendental bliss. Buddha sat under a tree; Jesus sat in the Desert and
Mohammad in a cave. All the great prophets, gurus and saints used some form of
meditation to commune with God and realize their true Self.
In the Yoga Sutras Patanjali defines yoga as the cessation of thought or the
absence of mental modification. When the mind becomes still, inner clarity
develops and the true nature of the Self is revealed. This is the essence of
yoga; yoga is the both the art and science of Self Realization. Initially an
aspiring yogi or yogini would be taught various yoga asanas or postures to
prepare the body for meditation. The goal has always been to quiet the body in
order to quiet the mind. In India the Rishis developed various meditation
practices based on the level and temperament of the student.
Some forms of meditation are contemplative, where the student reflects on a
verse from an illuminated text such as the Bible, Koran, Yoga Sutras or
Bhagavad-Gita; yet others are quite active and involve some conscious movement
as in tantric lovemaking, tai chi or practicing yoga postures with such inner
quiet that the student goes into meditation while holding a pose. A common form
of meditation to begin with involves primordial sounds called mantras. Most
spiritual disciplines recognize the mind altering power of sound vibrations:
the Sanskrit language of the Yogi’s, ancient Hebrew and Arabic are each
believed to conduct energy when spoken or contemplated.
The most familiar mantra “Om” often pronounced as “Aum” moves life force energy
up the spine to the top of the head. The “Ahhh” sound can be felt in the region
of the navel, the “Ohhh” and “Uuuu” sound are carried at the heart and throat
centers, and the “Mmmm” vibration is felt as the buzzing of bees in the head.
Repeating this sound relaxes the mind and turns ones awareness inward. The
popular Transcendental Meditation or “TM” of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi repeat a
single sacred sound mantra from the Vedas is repeated to help aspirants go
within and find inner peace; whereas members of the Hari Krishna movement, or
ISCON, repeat a series of sacred trance inducing sounds praising God that
creates a euphoric state, this is called Japa.
One of the more common forms of meditation involves concentration on various
energy centers of the body called Chakras; where a meditator would concentrate
their attention on such areas as their Navel Center (Manipura), Heart Center
(Anahata) or Third Eye (Ajna). The energy being directed to these centers
through focused attention activates the energy at these points and shifts the
state of consciousness of the meditator. For instance, when one focuses at the
Third Eye point between the eyebrows this activates the pituitary and pineal
gland which help regulate your brain wave frequencies, like a natural
biofeedback response. As the student connects with their life force energy, or
kundalini shakti, at this point their brain wave frequencies drop from Beta
(14-40 cycles per second) to Alpha (7-13 cycles per second), and eventually
lower still to Theta (4-6 cps) and Delta (0-3 cps). While in these ultra quiet
states inner clarity develops and the consciousness is liberated from the
confines of the mind and sense perception and merges into the whole…samadhi.
These exercises are even more powerful when initiated by a Guru whose spirit or
“Shakti” can conduct the life force to make it easier for the student to tune
into or connect with.
One of the most powerful forms of meditation is direct inquiry or
self-reflection. When the yogi reflects on the very impetus that causes them to
meditate they make a direct connection with their Self: “That which you are
seeking is causing you to seek.” To ask yourself “who am I?” and go into the
part of you that wants to know is to practice a form of yoga called Jnana.
Simply observing that which is observing the mind liberates it from the mind.
Just as one would look into their reflection in a mirror to know what they
looked like, one has only to reflect upon their own nature to realize it.
At the heart of meditation lies the heart. It is through grace that our own true
nature is revealed and it is through love that God is revealed. When the
meditating yogi opens their heart to receive, when they surrender the “doer”
then their own true nature becomes clear. The devotion to your Creator
expressed through the devotion in your practice makes the practice of
meditation easy and enjoyable to practice. Most people struggle with trying to
stop their mind, which is like a cat chasing its tail. When the yogi allows
their spirit, or life force, to meditate them then the practice of meditation
becomes profound.
The use of a Guru or teacher has proven effective to help students find the
truth that lies within them for thousands of years; it works. Most Westerners
are leery of those who purport to be Gurus, and for good reason as this sacred
trust has been abused by a few in the past, but nonetheless it is time tested
and proven effective. When the student is ready the teacher will appear, but a
reliable Guru is one who empowers you to find the True Guru, or Sat Guru,
within your Self. Ultimately, that which created you, and which sustains your
existence, is guiding you to awaken your consciousness to full realization; it
is what is causing you to read this right now.

How to Manifest Your Inner Desires
- By Steven Sadleir
- Published 2 October 2008
Within
each human lies the instinct to evolve. Your desires draw to you the learning
experiences that cause you to discern what you like and dislike, what you want
and don't want, and through this process you learn and grow and evolve to
realize your full potential. Through this variety and diversity of life
experiences what you innately want becomes clearer. As what you want becomes
clearer your power to manifest what you want becomes stronger.
Feelings
of joy, peace, and excitement serve as a honing beacon guiding you towards
experiences that help you to fulfill your life purpose. Feelings of discontent,
discord and being stuck help you to see how you are moving away from the
opportunities to realize your full potential and find happiness. When you are
connected with that inner guidance, and to the degree that you do connect,
greater prosperity, happiness and peace are attained. This peace is innate; you
just need to connect with it by being true to your intrinsic desires.
Desiring
has energy. As you think about what you want that desire builds strength. Where
you mind is focused energy follows. As you become more focused and clearer as
to what you innately want, the energy to manifest gets stronger. This energy
can be felt as excitement. The vibration of your intention is transmitted like
a radio signal and the innate intelligence of the universe responds to it in
kind. Put your attention on the joy of your desire and you will joyously
attract that into your life, we see this miracle again and again with our
students. Put your attention on what you think you lack and you attract more
lack. It is a state of consciousness.
Create
a clear picture of what you want in your mind, what does it feel like having
what you desire. Be in that state of enjoying it whether it has manifested or
is being manifested. Then put your life force energy into the vision, like a
light shinning through a motion picture film, the desire is projected into your
world. The more powerful the projection the more powerful the manifestation. To
increase your power to manifest, connect with the source of life within you.
Meditate. It comes back to getting in touch with the source of life within you.
It comes back to getting in touch with your Self. It comes back to
Self-Realization.

It's All Love
- By Steven Sadleir
- Published 2 October 2008
Love
is the transcendent reality; everything else is just a state of mind. Creation
is an act of love, and that which sustains all of creation is an act of love.
We are an act of creation; the Divine presence supports and sustains our
existence. It is through an act of love that our heart beats, it is through an
act of love that we exist, we are an expression of that love. You find that
which causes life within you and you find the source of love itself; you find
your Self.
You
couldn't be anything other than that which you already are. Your true self is
already realized; only your mind projecting the illusion of being separate
causes your mind to think that you need to find yourself or search for love.
The very volition that brought you to read these words is your spirit reaching
out to your mind to get your attention. You are here reading this because it is
time for you to wake up from the dream, to remember who you are and why you
were born so you can fulfill the purpose of your existence.
There
is an awakening occurring within the collective consciousness of humanity.
Human beings are individually beginning to realize that there is something to
be realized, a potential they have yet to realize within themselves. You are
part of a small but rapidly growing segment of the population that is leading
the way to awakening the collective consciousness of humanity; you are ahead of
the bell curve. As you reflect on this possibility you are awakening your own
potential to be conscious, and this contributes to the collective awakening on
the planet.
Your
spirit brought you to read these words so that you can reflect on this
possibility, to go to the place of knowing within yourself, and to consider
your life's calling. The part of you that already knows who you are and why you
were born is making contact with you now. You will be thinking about this now.
As you think about it, the energy of your attention will naturally begin to
awaken your consciousness. The next step
may be to find the tools and training that will help you fully enlighten. When
you are ready, the clue will be staring you in the face.
