Atheists don’t feel guilty for things that they have not done and which was not under their control but accept consequences of their own actions and wrong decisions.
I don't judge believers but those who play with the belief of others.
A woman just gave birth to a new child on this earth, the biggest miracle of nature itself – and Indian superstition calls her impure! Isn't that like a bad joke?
Learning science as a subject in school or university is one thing but keeping a scientific point of view and attitude is another one. People can be highly educated but belief in superstition makes them educated fools.
As a person who does not believe in superstition, one sometimes has a difficult time convincing others that their belief is nonsense. You can try and put up the most scientific arguments but a really superstitious person will still not believe you. Nevertheless I believe that superstitions, just like religious belief in general, is in decline.
