Vrindavan is situated in north India about 151 km south
of Delhi. It is the place where Lord Krishna spent his
early childhood and is one of India’s most blissful and
holiest cities. There are over 5000 temples in
Vrindavan. |
In 1995 Swami
ji founded an Ashram at Vrindavan, where he provides a home and
education for a number of young students, between the age of 12
and 20. The students learn Yoga, Meditation and Sanskrit
literature from experienced and qualified teachers. Their
education and full board is free of charge. This means
that their families are free of this financial pressure and the
students learn and grow in a positive, loving and spiritual
environment.
Any interested
visitor to India is welcome to visit and stay at the Ashram.
The Ashram is
very open, friendly and hospitable. The rooms are
spacious, fully air conditioned and have bathroom and shower
facilities. There is also a beautiful lawn and patio.
Yoga classes
are available whenever a group is coming for Yoga holidays. Visitors are free to spend their time as they please. They
may wish to sit in the peace and tranquility of the Ashram and
enjoy the wonderful energy. You can also visit Swami ji’s
cave, where he spent over three and half years meditating. Here you can experience the very high loving vibration and
absorb its healing qualities.
You may also
like to visit some of Vrindavan’s many temples, other ashrams or
markets.
Delicious
meals are served and shared in a very loving way at the Ashram.
All visitors
are welcome. However, this is an Ashram, not a hotel. We are
happy to open our doors for people who feel a connection with
the Ashram and who are interested in our projects and
activities. We do not welcome people who are related with any
sect and their manipulating activities.
The principle of our Ashram is to share our love, feelings,
food, room and everything. And we love to share! But we would
also like to ask every guest to consider giving a donation of an
affordable amount as we are investing money for our charity work
as well as for maintaining Ashram.
Once a man who
was planning to visit Vrindavan did not have one single penny in
his pocket and asked us if he could stay with us in our Ashram.
So we invited him and he came and stayed here. He enjoyed his
holiday a lot as well as we enjoyed his company here. Of course
everybody knew that this man would not give any donation but we
were happy to give him the opportunity to see this lovely city.
But we also
had to experience that some people are taking it for granted
that we share everything with our guests. For example we see
people who are traveling extensively through the whole world,
are sleeping and eating in our Ashram for free and are spending
their money generously in Vrindavan’s many shops. And in the end
of their stay they are giving 10 Euro as a donation for Ashram.
It is not the case that we do not appreciate small
contributions. To see however that the donation for our work is
less then a twentieth of what is spent on scarves or jewelry has
caused some disappointment on our side. We sometimes feel that
our love is taken advantage of.
Many people
are working here to keep the building and the garden as nice and
clean as it is. Our charity projects are growing and we would
like to invite more and more people to come and see what we have
already achieved. But we need the donations to be able to
maintain this.
We are not a
hotel nor are we charging anything per room per night. Even to
the poorest traveler we love to give the possibility to stay
here. But we would like to see appreciation also from our guests
who are financially in a better situation. Please respect our
feeling that we don’t want to make a minimum or a maximum price.
For everyone there is another appropriate amount.
Please feel
free to come and visit our Ashram whenever you are in Vrindavan.
In our schedule you can check if Swami Ji is here in the time of
your stay.
