I have been talking about relationships many times but it is a topic which never gets boring because it is about love, about something that everyone desires and needs and which everyone is fascinated about. Why does it work for some people and for others it doesn’t?
You can have many theories about this topic and many people have different ideas about what is right, how a relationship should be and how you can reach to having a relationship. Especially those who are in a relationship sometimes enjoy giving advice to their single friends how they should do it. They think of their own – obviously successful – relationship and explain exactly how every move should be made. Then they watch their single friends try but somehow, in spite of all the helpful advice, it doesn’t work.
Let me tell you why: you need to be in the situation, in this place in which you have to feel, to speak and to act. There are different characters and you first need to get to know the other one. This cannot be done by talking in general. You need to be physically there and be in the situation. Have the will to get to know the other one. This also doesn’t happen in one or two hours, it takes some time. Remember that the other one also only sees those first two hours of you, not all the other aspects of your character. Give time and be there, with your full heart.

I think it's easy to compare yourself to others and judge yourself. You see others in happy relationships and you wish that for yourself. You ask, "Why not me? Why don't I get to have a relationship?" It's easy to fall into these thinking patterns, but they only bring us down. Trust in your own life path and just be yourself! Know that what unfolds for you is what God intended and you are in good hands. No need to rush it or force it... relationships will come when they are ready and when you are ready. :) Just trust and be yourself.
