Yesterday we started our journey from Copenhagen towards Wiesbaden. We left Otto’s flat at six o’clock in the evening and took our night train towards Germany. We arrived with some delay but happy in Wiesbaden at 11 o’clock in the morning. It is like coming home again.
In the afternoon we talked with Purnendu in India and he told that yesterday finally the monsoon time started with the first heavy rain in the area. Now everybody there is very happy and looking forward to more rain because it will finally cool down the temperature.
And the rain came punctual to the first day of school of the new school year. Now the newly admitted children will start learning the alphabet and much more. I am happy that there are so many children who haven’t be there before but unfortunately I heard from Purnendu that there are still more children, whose parents come and want to bring them to school. But unfortunately we do not have more space for more children. Purnendu needs to send them away and tell the parents that there might be a place next year.
Of course, it makes me sad that we have to send them away , But it is nice that I can say them, come next year earlier and you will learn reading and writing. It is my wish to build more rooms so that we can have more and more children.

This morning I have been to the school to meet the teachers and see the children in the classrooms. It is such a happy place and all the children were so enthusiastic to show me their classrooms and introduce me to their friends. Half an hour of yoga is a great start to the day for them, I think I might try this at my school in London! Every child who comes here is getting a wonderful start to their education.

It is such a disappointment to hear that you have had to turn children awya in the past. Has any more space become available since this posting? Are there plans to build more space? If so, how can we help?
