In the morning I talked on phone with my friend Govind. For several years he had been working in a government job. Due to this job he only came home each second or sometimes third weekend as his working place was quite far away. He has a small son of two years and he always missed his family very much when he was away. So now he finally decided to quit that job and to come back to Vrindavan to find something else there. And he did. You see, in India the relationships in families are different. The family structure is very strong. People need closeness and also show and live it. It is so nice and full of love.
Tomorrow we will go to Austria. Yashendu is in Cologne at the moment but we will meet on Tuesday again. We will also meet our friend Reinfried and I am looking forward to meeting him and others whom I got to know last time when we were in Austria.

How wonderful to have all your family o close to you. These days people move further and further apart and then wonder why they feel lonely or miss their family. It is always good to have your family around you.

I think this was a beautiful decision. It was definitely bold to quit a well-paying job to search for another one... but he understood that love and family outweigh money!! Love it. So many things draw people away from their families in the U.S. And the country is so large that you could be worlds away from your family just for a job or a preferred location. I wish people knew that the support and joy you lack without your family must be replaced with something else... and lots of people replace that emptiness with addictions, needy relationships, and negativity. Something to think about...

SourceForgiveness is the biggest jewel of human life. Everybody needs to have this in their heart, otherwise you burn yourself on the fire of your anger. You need to go through your emotions, but then forgive without hurting the other one. Don't keep that in your heart. Learn to forgive.

The more money you have, the quicker you can see God and the more blessings you get.
SourceMany people think of God as a very distant, unreachable power. For them God is not close and their prayers are very formal. A prayer is something special and can be in many forms, not only certain words. But you need closeness, your heart should be in your prayer.
SourceI don’t believe religion was previously good and pure. On the contrary, I believe it was made with the purpose to manipulate and control people. When religion was created, people were afraid of things they could not understand. Religious people gave explanations and could thus control them, taking their fear like a leash. That is not pure, that is not good!
SourceIf you embarrass your partner in public, it is a sign of disharmony in relationship.
SourceCorruption in religion is worst because the most corrupt people there show themselves as the purest of ideals that everyone else should follow.
SourceBe yourself, live your true feelings, don’t hesitate to show them even if you think they are negative!

SourceTeach your children respect for others and themselves. Otherwise as adults they will start having psychic problems, don’t love themselves and don’t respect their body and feelings. Sometimes they even start hurting themselves. And there is nobody to stop them and set them limits. If they are not nice to you, why would they be nice to themselves?
SourcePeople often have different faces, for work, for home, for friends and so on. That makes it difficult for you and others to understand you. Just be who you are!
Source‘Sadhu’ or ‘Sanyasi’ means detached. Today's Sadhu ridiculously contradicts his title with his display of gold and wealth!
SourceIf you have befriended someone because of a reason, when those reasons are gone, your friendship has no meaning anymore.
SourceSilence is very necessary. It is a jewel of life. Most of our energy is consumed by talking. Be silent and save it.
