Enjoy and celebrate Life in Happiness - 17 Jan 08

Swami Ji

Oh, it was a wonderful dinner that we had today. Yashendu made kadhi out of buttermilk and gram flour and on Ramona's wish he made potatoes in a special way with many spices and spinach with mushrooms. Delicious food! Afterwards we tasted the ice-cream that we had bought yesterday. I took two cups of the coffee-flavored ice-cream. It was like a holiday's celebration. As there is no holiday today we decided just to celebrate life. To celebrate that we are here, that we are together and that we are happy. If you live life like this, enjoying each moment, each bite, each spoonful of ice-cream you will always be happy.

Words of Wisdom

  • Identity

Do not pretend to be older or younger than you are. Playing a role looks artificial. You appear more serious and real if you just are who you are.

    Source
  • Rules

I only follow one rule: Break one rule daily. And I believe that we need to get rid of all other rules if we want to live free and with open heart.

    Source
  • Ego

Sometimes ego and anger can bring a darkness to your heart with which you do not even care about the happiness of your children although you love them. This love is not pure but driven by ego.

    Source
  • Closeness

Love cannot grow if you don’t have closeness. Sometimes it is very hard to get close to someone. Sometimes there is physical closeness but no closeness of the heart, sometimes the mind is close but nothing else. You cannot establish a strong relationship if you don’t accept full closeness.

    Source
  • Anger

Gyan Yogis say that there is no duality. Everything is one and everyone is the same because god is in everybody. So if God is in you, in me and in everyone around, against whom do you want to direct your aggression? Anger can only exist in duality. When everything is God, then everything is the same, everyone is love.

  • Self-Confidence

Judging is good and necessary. Use your general knowledge, your mind, your intelligence and also your feelings. You can ask experts, research on the internet and find out more if needed. Get an opinion and don’t be afraid of others criticizing it. Maybe this fear prevents people from judging, too. Have self-confidence and say what you think is right and what is wrong in your eyes.

    Source
  • Magic

There are no Siddhis or supernatural powers. I challenge anybody to show me those powers and their effect, good or bad. Can you tell me the lottery numbers or can you kill me only by the force of your mind? Try it.

    Source
  • Religion

People have been inspired by religion to do extremely good deeds – but in the same way others have been inspired to do extremely bad things, too. The problem is the manipulation by religion and the lack of responsibility of the believers.

    Source
  • Religion

People prefer making religious donations rather than charity donations to secure a seat in heaven by giving to a preacher or temple.

    Source
  • Body

Give yourself a treat by moving your body, stretching, breathing! Enjoy your body and feel good in it! Whatever you do, enjoy it! Have fun!

    Source
  • Scriptures

The problem in a discussion with religious people is that they do not only think their belief is the best but quote their scriptures as proof in their arguments and then get confused and can't believe it when somebody doesn't accept their quotations as the truth.

    Source
  • Perception

Not any belief is good or bad, no person is good or bad and no place is good or bad. It is only your perception.

    Source
  • God

Never feel like a sinner. God does not punish you, he loves you.

    Source
  • Guilt

Feeling Guilty for others won't help them

    Source
  • Rituals

If you are in love with God, you don’t have to ‘do’ meditation, it takes place itself. You are in love without doing any ritual. You also don’t need to do rituals to please your God, he will feel your love in every moment. There is no need of any special prayer, any certain Mantra if you are in love with God.

    Source
  • Meditation

If you have practice of meditation, you are able to focus and decide what you want to think of. Through meditation and focus you can not only close the door of your office but also the door of your mind to work related topics in order to truly relax.

    Source
  • Identity

Enjoy your uniqueness, enjoy being you!

    Source
  • Negativity

Our negativity lives on our back. It is difficult for us to see but we need to explore it. We can easily see the back of another person. Work on seeing and reducing your own negativity.

    Source
  • Psychology

It is a funny western idea that you need to have a bad mood, at least from time to time!

    Source
  • Truth

The truth is nowhere outside. Search in your love and in your honesty, there you will find truth.
