In India at the moment all TV channels and newspapers are talking and writing about the recently exposed Swamis and Gurus, especially the Paramahansa Nithyananda about whom I wrote yesterday. He was not popular all over India, just in the South where he comes from and even more in the western world. But now his face was on TV all over India and he is known everywhere now. You can see reports and articles about this case on YouTube and Google, if you just make a quick search for it.
Really, I do not see any problem with the fact that he has sex but the point is that he cannot accept it with honesty now. The statement of the Nithyananda's’s organization is that the video is faked and it is only graphics, a computer-made scene but everyone who sees the video can see that it is real. And the latest news is that he has gone missing! He is not to be found anywhere.
I think that is not a very good idea. On one hand you are saying that it is a conspiracy and on the other hand you are hiding like a criminal, so it kind of proves that you did something wrong. It would be best if he just came into public and accepted it. If I could give him one advice, I would tell him to go in front of the cameras now and just accept it. You are also human like everyone else, it is fine that you have sexual feelings. Accept it now. You did not rape this woman, that is also clearly visible in the video, she wanted to get close with you. So your mistake is not the sexual act itself, it is that you were hiding it. You could ask why anybody would install a camera in your bedroom? It is your private life and someone hurt this right for privacy.
It is never too late to live in honesty, you can still come out from wherever you are hiding. How long can you hide anyway? Some day you have to reappear and then the media will want to know where you were and why you were hiding! I tell you, you will only lose if you deny this and it is unbelievable how many people’s trust is broken. If you start being honest now and from your heart say that yes, you have sexual feelings naturally like all other people, I am sure people will appreciate your courage of saying this.
As I said however, this fake Swami Nithyananda and his followers cannot accept this because he propagated the image of being something better than everyone else – which included being beyond sexual desires. And this is how I believe it is best for all of us to live in honesty and accept our natural feelings. What or who could harm you then, if you are just honest and in love?

You are so right, Swami Ji... it's never too late to come out and be honest. If this guru could look at his own behavior and realize that he is just being normal and natural, he would have to question the religious rules of celibacy that he professes. And if he came out and told the truth- that sexual feelings are normal and healthy- think of how he would affect his followers and society. Maybe it would help people realize that celibacy is simply unnatural and wrong. After all... I think God would certainly prefer honesty over celibacy.

The greatest teaching anyone can ever give is to live by example. not to talk big words or wear a robe. people follow action more than words. an example of openness and honesty is something i seek to aspire to. if we are not open and honest then we are not in high state. no matter how many lectures on yoga we give.

Nah, I agree with swami. It is beautiful to be human. Somehow we have this idea that we are higher than nature, for me this is the original sin. If you act from awareness and are authentic to what's going on then love will flow.

Well, Swami Balendu ji, Having variety of feelings is nature of human beings, but when it comes to Sanyasis, I think normal laws do not apply. Sanyasi should be the one who is beyond nature, beyond mind and who operates from at least level of awareness. How can he succumb to these feelings? How can he come down from high state? He must be role... See More model and maintain his sanctity at all times... Enlightenment is not a destination... its a journey. One must be aware of this all times. What happened is unfortunate and its a insult to Sanyasi and his dress. A sincere apology is best way to deal with situation.
