Yesterday I wrote the last part of the lecture in Melle. When I had finished the lecture about the karmas there, some students had questions and one I found a very good one: “So we are reducing or adding to our Sanchit karma by acting and reacting. But what about those who cannot act or react because they are mentally disabled?”
The eastern philosophy says they have this because of their Sanchit Karmas. They are not able to react so they are not collecting anything; they are only reducing their Sanchit Karmas. They are living it and how long their life may be, in the whole lifetime they live their and reduce their Karmas and get closer to liberation. The students agreed that this gives a very different and nice perception and feeling to see mentally disabled people in this way.
I would like to mention another question in today’s diary which I have been asked recently: “Is love only a feeling, only energy? Are actions of love no love?”
Love is the most beautiful feeling and it fills you with amazing energy. When actions of love are done without any ego then they create a wonderful energy and both partners can feel the touch of deep love. It spreads a beautiful smell in the atmosphere all around and the soul is dancing of happiness. But if these actions are full of ego it provokes the contrary and destroys all the wonderful energy. When it is for showing off that there is love then there are expectations: I do this for you and what do you do for me? It does not leave a nice feeling. And if expectations of this kind are not fulfilled you get disappointed.
So I would like to advise you, please watch your actions of love. Of course you have full freedom to act however you want but please let your ego dissolve in love. Do not show with ego how much you did for the other person neither while doing neither after having done. It is a great misunderstanding in this world to think you can buy someone’s love. If you want love then give love. The world of love is very different from this material world. Not even a millionaire can buy someone’s love. Maybe the body but not the love.
Unfortunately many people think in this wrong way and it creates a lot of confusion and sometimes much pain. So bring more love in this material world and dissolve your ego in love.

Nice way to not feel guilty that you didn't come out handicapped and someone else did and you can't figure out why. In Christianity we believe God gave us handicapped people to teach us lessons about our mortality and the grace of God's love. What would we think if we didn't have religion to explain other people to us I wonder. Maybe we would just feel sad to be confronted with how pointless things are. I'm not saying they are pointless. I just think if you didn't look at it through the filter of a religiuos or cultural belief that the only thing you could think when you saw someone handicapped was that it happened at random just like everything else and for no reason, and that it would be a constant reminder of what big accidents we all are. But, like I said, that's not what I believe.

I think it's important also to embody love through your action toward others. but acting to get someone's approval or to "earn points" is not really love.
