I wrote already sometimes about the change that has happened in Vrindavan and how Vrindavan looked like when I was a child. Of course there are so many new and more modern buildings that it grew to a few times its size and the telephone line and satellite TV were added to the ‘features’ of this town.
Now we are going to get another improvement: a sewage system. It is very necessary and of course it will be great but there is a long way to go from the idea and the plan until the completion of it. They started by digging holes in different places of the town. You may call it Indian style that they did that in several places at the same time regardless the difficulty that any traffic will have because of that. Many roads were already blocked and to get from one place to the other you have to take many detours.
This all is fine but four days ago someone who was digging a hole cut our telephone line and with the telephone our internet also was off immediately. We have a substitute, a mobile internet connection but it is very slow. Purnendu called the company to ask when the internet and phone line will be fixed and he was told that it will probably not be done until the end of the month and that just two streets further people haven’t had a connection for the last two months.
There are so many places where the line is damaged that they don’t even bother starting to fix it while others are still digging holes. So it is how it is, the infrastructure in India is bad, but people of course have to find other ways. In this way we are working, we click on a link in a page and until it opens we can get up, drink something, see what is going on outside and then come back to make the next click. This is how we are working these days. Some things take a bit longer and others will only be done when we will have fast speed again but the world doesn’t stop turning.
Today our friend Dagmar left the Ashram. We enjoyed the time with her very much and she had a great time here on her Ayurveda yoga Holiday, being with the Ashram family, visiting Vrindavan and just being here. It was great.

It is very different from the US, because while we do work on lots of parts of a city at once "progress" and mobility is still one of the highest priorities so there are always planned detours for traffic and things like that. Looks like everything has settled in now though!

Life is a process and always changing and I just want to be honest and say what I think. I cannot tell you what I will be thinking five years from now! I am open to accept the change.
SourceChange is normal and just a sign that you are alive and in the flow of life. We always change for the better when we make a conscious change and decide to change along with times. We are changing in every second and it is better to accept this change than to fight it.
SourceWhatever you are jealous about, do not fight the feeling, it will only make it worse.
SourceIf you made a mistake, don't follow your ego. Accept the truth, even though you were wrong. Don't live for your ego.
SourceWhy do you strive to look the opposite of how you look like? Be yourself and love who you are. Love comes from inside, from the heart and from the soul.
SourcePracticing the art of criticizing everybody and everything else around you is a pretty sure method to reach unhappiness.
SourceOnce you have lit the fire of love, you need fuel to keep it alive. Trust is the fuel for love.
SourceDo not make yourself unhappy by comparing too much!
SourceReligious belief and superstition can hurt the feelings of your friends.
SourceWe don’t need rituals to find God and God will not be especially happy if we do rituals for him. You can find God through love and by being in love, you do the best service to him that you can.
SourcePeople act as though they were humble and in this acting they have a big ego of being the most humble persons of the world. They really think that nobody could be any humbler than they are!
SourceI personally like the God of nonbelievers more than the God of believers. He is a thought, a good thought, is in my heart and in my mind. I made him myself. I created him how I wanted him to be. He is mine. That is why I love him and why I also believe in him.
SourceDo not pretend to be older or younger than you are. Playing a role looks artificial. You appear more serious and real if you just are who you are.
SourceAt some point everybody needs to take his own responsibility and act according to what makes him happy. If you tried to make everyone around you happy, you would never succeed but forget your own fun and joy! You should never make the happiness of others more important than your own happiness, otherwise you will make yourself unhappy – and won’t be able to help others!
SourceMaybe this time, which we are experiencing now, will later be called ‘Digital Bhakti Kal’, a time of devotion through digital media. Applications and programs will be interactive scriptures that judge your spiritual progress. There will be an option to pay some money and get access to higher levels and ranks straight away. It will be expensive but those who have the money can get online enlightenment from one second to the other simply via credit card.
SourceEgo can make you blind so that you are not able to see the truth which will affect your decisions.
SourceDiscipline is very important in our nutrition. Eat when you are hungry. Hunger can be in the eyes and in the mind, too, not only in your belly. Learn to distinguish that.
SourceMake yourself happy while helping others without expectations.
SourceApproaching a future friend does not work with expectations.
SourceIf you feel you are overweight and you are unhappy with it, do something against it! You are the one who has control over your mind and who can shape your body. Take your responsibility and start.
