Yesterday I wrote a question and my answer and after each lecture it is normal that there is some time for people to ask me about something, the topic of the lecture or anything else. As I gave lectures already when I was nine years old I have a lot of experience with this and I can categorize four different kinds of questioners:
1. Kind number one are people who are really curious to know the answer to their question. They are enthusiastic and you can see how thirsty they are to get this knowledge. They hang on your lips and absorb each word you say.
2. The second kind of people is those whose main intention is not to receive an answer but to show how intelligent they are and how much they know. They will explain very long and in a complicated way and in the end it happens often that you do not know what their question actually was. These questions are only ego-driven and they want to impress you with their knowledge.
3. People of type number three want to test you and your knowledge. They ask something although they know the answer only to see if you know it, too. It is like an exam. Actually they do not want to be students and learn but they would like to be teaching.
4. The last type of people does not show any enthusiasm and only asks you in order to criticize you and what you say. They don’t argue logically but in whatever answer you give them they will find a point to make another argument. They come with a fix idea and they want to fight.
The last three types do not really need an answer. The second type of questioners only wants to present own knowledge and is not interested in yours. Those who want to test you know the answer already and it doesn’t make sense to answer those who are only fighting because they will criticize everything.
However it is a pleasure to give answers to the first type of people. Their questions come from the heart, from their devotion. Only they can get a real answer and only for them it will be of any use.
Today we went to Hamburg with Michael and Andrea and met our friend Gary Birch who is professional golf player. He will fly to the US soon and for saying goodbye we spent a nice afternoon together.

If you don't test your masters then how can you trust them?

I like the way you put this. It makes me want to examine myself.

Not sure if you can always separate one type of questioner from another, I think a lot of people are a mix and getting more than one thing from asking a question publicly. I also believe that type #1 is very hard to find, especially one who is just #1 and not a blend of the others. For instance- really wants to know the answer, but loves hearing their voice fill a room so everyone can see how smart they are.

Scriptures are wrong saying loving God is divine and loving your family is attachment.
SourceI welcome, not only in my home but in my life, those people who either don’t have any expectations or whose expectations I can fulfill. I want people in my life who respect my feelings and care for my happiness as well as their own happiness. I apply a filter at the entrance to my heart, too, so that I can let those in who will make me happy and whom I can make happy.
SourceWho are you to decide upon life or death? Who are you to decide whether a person should live or die? Who are you to torture another human being?
SourceWhy do we need to pretend to be who we are not?
SourceGod is not a Hindu, Christian, Jew, Muslim or Buddhist. He does not have a certain form, shape or colour. The same God that lives in you also lives in me and will be there even if all religions vanish from this world.
SourceI won’t have a problem with your god if he is not sitting in silver-walled temples wearing gold jewelry, eating 56 different types of food, but instead comes here and sees how to earn his bread with hard work.
SourceI want to give the one I love full control over me. Only then I will feel full freedom because I don’t even have to think for myself.
SourceLife teaches every human. Let it teach your child, too! You are there for bigger problems, decisions and topics, you can protect when it is really necessary, but let your child face circumstances of life in which it learns of life. How will it learn otherwise?
SourceDo you think of meditation as a competition? Whoever can sit in meditation the longest is the winner! That person is closer to enlightenment than all others or has even already reached enlightenment! Those who cannot sit still for even half an hour are beginners, losers, materialists and very non-spiritual people!
SourceSome women feel ugly without make-up. Your outer appearance can strengthen your confidence for a few moments but you know exactly who you are inside. Learn to face your originality. Accept yourself. See that you are beautiful just as you are. Real beauty comes from inside.
SourceScriptures were written by men, in a male-dominated society, when war, killing and fighting was a daily occurrence, when people were tortured, women were beaten and slaves were being held. You cannot call that holy.
SourceIf our attitude is positive, it can change everything including our way of living. If we say ‘yes’ to life, to love, to laughing, enjoying and having fun, we can change our lives.
SourceThe scriptures of any religion, culture or country can be written by very intelligent people of old times and we can see them as great literature but they should not be taught to children as ideals of how to behave though. They are fiction and many of them are full of blood and violence, creating an illusion for children that this behavior could be religious and good.
SourceDon't remind your children of how much you did for raising them.
SourceDon't schedule your baby like an adult but get inspired by your child!
SourceGuilt is the result of the wish for perfection. You want to be perfect and this mistake proves that you failed, so you carry it around, defending your mistake, blaming others, hiding so that nobody finds out that you are not perfect. Everybody makes mistakes and nobody is perfect!
SourceYou are not responsible for everything and everybody. Relax, lean back and watch what others are doing. It is fine, enjoy whatever comes!
SourceWhy do you strive to look the opposite of how you look like? Be yourself and love who you are. Love comes from inside, from the heart and from the soul.
SourceThe Guru and master who started a tradition also asks you to pay for being a follower and franchisee. And in this business the essence of yoga is lost.
SourceAfter accidents some people believe it happened due to their sins and bad Karma but God saved them. Well, he saved your life but you do have broken bones. If this guy could keep you from dying, why could he not save your bones from being crushed? Was he too busy? Did he think it would look unrealistic that you have an accident and don’t even break something? Or did he really think ‘Man, you got some bad Karma over there! Not bad enough for dying but at least a bone fracture!’
