Where is happiness? Happiness is in satisfaction. We see lots of people these days who are dissatisfied with their current situation. They are not happy and they do not enjoy. In this situation they also see their future without any hope. They do not see light in their future. Lack of material or opposite circumstances do not give as much unhappiness as negative thinking does. In this kind of situation, when the mind is upset and one is not mentally balanced, they cannot even think of a way to improve the circumstances and this situation. That is how, because of this dissatisfaction their worries increase more and more. Only those can be happy who are satisfied with the current situation because greed is like this that when you fulfill one wish, two more will be there and even if you fulfill these, there will be four more. Someone with greed will never be satisfied and those people do not find their inner joy and happiness. It doesn’t matter how much they get, they will always be unsatisfied.
Maybe you have heard someone say that those who are satisfied cannot go further, cannot progress. But it is not true; development does not stop with satisfaction. If you want to progress in your path with a strong will you can always go on and at the same time always be satisfied with the current situation. There are many people who are happy and satisfied with what they have got. They thank their god for what they have got and they still go further on their path. Maybe they know this truth: with an dissatisfied situation and an unstable mind, when you are not in peace, you cannot think positively about what you can do to turn into a positive direction. We should be happy and thankful for what we have and should not lose our peace and happiness and go further on our path.

I had a similar realization to this just this morning! I was thinking over and over again of all the things I want to do before leaving India and all the things I need to get done. It seemed like a daunting thing and was certainly taking up space in my mind. And then it hit me: the gift is within! It wouldn't matter how much I do or get done before I leave. The gift of the trip, the gift of every moment is within. At that realization, I closed my eyes, took some deep breaths, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery at the river I had journeyed to.

That is silly. Just see today. Tomorrow you just don't know about.

Thank you for a beautiful post Swami Ji. If you find greed in yourself (we have all experienced this) don't worry. The way to be rid of it does not always feel obvious. All you have to do is stop trying and allow it to leave you. If you allow it to leave you then you will find what you were looking for through it.

Don't play for winning but for having fun. The aim is not being better and if you lose, there is no reason to be sad. This is the game. Somebody will lose, somebody will win. A game is there for enjoying. Winning and losing is part of the fun.

SourceThere are many funny different offers in which people sell ways to get internal peace, to reach enlightenment or to get any funny kind of soul reconnection.
