You have never done yoga in your life before – or very little – but you would like to use your holiday in India to try it out? You want to get to know the basics of yoga and maybe be able to continue doing yoga at home on your own? Then you can choose this yoga retreat for beginners at our Ashram!
Daily you will have two hours of yoga practice with one of our experienced yoga teachers who will guide you gently through the basic yoga postures and breathing techniques. If yoga is fully new to you, you will get an introduction to the benefits that your body and mind can get from this ancient practice.
You feel how parts of your body move that were previously stiff and near to unmovable. Daily practice makes you flexible and thus reach further than you ever thought possible. Of course the physical movement has a positive effect on your mental situation as well! Usually a regular yoga practice leads to a more balanced, relaxed and happier self.
If you would like to enjoy all these benefits at the Ashram, you can choose this Yoga Retreat for Beginners.
You can come for this retreat at any time. Simply fill out this form and let us know when you want to come – if there is a free room, we will be happy to welcome you!
Of course you can also come for as little or as much time as you like. The following prices are only the full week prices – if you want to stay a different number of days, just let us know and we will send you the exact cost for the period of your stay.
As we are now running Ammaji's Ayurvedic Restaurant on the Ashram premises, we can give travellers different options for our retreats. This is something that several visitos had requested - and we are more than happy to provide! You can choose whether you would like your yoga retreat as a all-in-one package with all meals or book only your stay and yoga classes and choose your meals separately yourself.

SourceDon’t seek God in religious icons or figures. God is love and lives in our heart. If you, in a prayer or mantra, mention the name Jesus, Ram or also Hanuman, it doesn’t mean that you specify a religion you are praying to. You have God in your heart, no matter which name you say with your tongue.
SourceA prayer is a way of getting closer to God. So it is good to pray, but it should be out of love, not because you have to pray. Pray with your heart.
SourceReligious scriptures are the main culprits of the creation of superstition.
SourceI don’t like the word ‘follower’ or ‘disciple’. Guru simply means teacher, so if you have the need for a teacher, a guru, why don’t you call yourself student? Rather than being a follower who follows blindly like a sheep, you should be a student, eager to learn more, enthusiastic for getting more knowledge and experience.
SourceIf your pain is chronic and incurable, accept it and accept it with love.
SourcePeople who are really religious have a strong belief that nothing happens without God’s wish. So if you really think this, how come you get so excited and even angry if someone does not share your belief? Don’t you think that this, too, is God’s wish?

SourceOur negativity lives on our back. It is difficult for us to see but we need to explore it. We can easily see the back of another person. Work on seeing and reducing your own negativity.
