Love

Roger sent a poem which he wrote in the night of his mother’s death. He had been sitting with her in her last hours. It touched my heart and you can see the great relation of mother and son. This love is wonderful.

'These hands, showing the signs of work, which are now lying peacefully in mine, are the work some hands of a mother.
When I was a child they caressed me and took care of me.
They washed me, swaddled me and put me to sleep.
These hands were never tired of cooking for me, feeding me, wiping my mouth.
With thousands of pinpricks they sewed clothes for me, full of love they knitted socks and scarf, earlaps and gloves against the cold of the winter.
In the first attempts at walking, they guided me and provided security.
These hands consolingly dried my tears.
In clouded nights of feverish dreams they cooled my forehead and chased away the demons.
Folded they showed me how to pray.
When practicing to write, they directed my clumsy hand.
They gave me power and strength and the love for work.
These hands protected me and thoughtfully took care of me.
They showed me the way and encouragingly let me go into the world.
They opened the door for me and always welcomed me with joy.
These hands led me to the altar and entrusted me to my beloved.
Now they are old and weak, helpless and tired, marked by life.
Now, in the most difficult of all hours, in the hour of the big goodbye, I hold my mother’s hands and accompany her on her way to a better world.
My hands in yours, dear mother, we are united until the end.
The circle closed.
I want to give back to you a small part of what you have given to me, just a fraction of what I owe you.
May my hands give you strength, security and protection.
Do you feel my unbroken love of a child, dear mother, my endless thankfulness and eternal faithfulness?
I want to give you strength and harvest consolation.'

Oh, what a beautiful story. Very poetic, filled with love, respect and humility. Just the kind of mother we all would have loved to have. I also feel honoured that you use my photo for this post. Thank you. I long to come and visit again, but it seems it has to wait some time longer. My love to your whole beautiful family.

Wow, this poem was very touching. It reminded me of my mom and everything she has done for me. There is no one in the whole world like your mother is to you. I will cherish my mom forever and take care of her until her last breath.

Words of Wisdom

  • Happiness

Don’t be shy to show a little gesture if you think it will make someone happy.

    Source
  • Love

If you feel you don't have love, you maybe only have lost your connection. If you did not have love, you would not be longing for love. This is the proof that you have love. You only need to reconnect with your feelings.

  • Sex

Love can exist without sex but sex has to be with love.

    Source
  • God

I won’t have a problem with your god if he doesn’t take bribes from praying criminals and doesn’t encourage them by giving them success.

    Source
  • Religion

Ways of worship like feeding a statue of God would be a big thing to laugh about, was it not a systematic plan of religion to keep you in a numb state of mind where you will not question an order even if it is complete nonsense. You are requested to switch off your mind and follow what you are being told.

  • Honesty

Be honest with your feelings. If the other one likes you or not, it is okay.

    Source
  • Children

Don't remind your children of how much you did for raising them.

    Source
  • Judging

People who judge often have an inferiority complex and believe others judge them. If you are in your full love to yourself, you don't need to judge others.

    Source
  • Honesty

You say something else than you think and feel. And you do something completely different. You don’t do what you think and you don’t think what you say. You don’t say what you do and you don’t do what you say. These three things are separate from each other although they should be same: our inside, our thoughts and feelings, our talk and our actions.

  • Negativity

In the West, many people live in negative thinking and live in fear with a negative attitude. They are hopeless, suspicious, doubtful and always see the dark side of things. Most of all, they don't enjoy life. Come out of this negativity and see how beautiful life is!

  • Relationship

Bonding a relation in terms like 'open', 'short term' or 'long term relationship' shows your insecurity and your doubts. It sounds like a contract. This may suit business relations but it doesn’t fit if you want to establish a relation on the physical, emotional and soul level.

  • Identity

Do not pretend to be older or younger than you are. Playing a role looks artificial. You appear more serious and real if you just are who you are.

  • Fear

Religious people chose religion out of fear that religion could be right and they could really go to hell. They are fearful from the root and religion adds fuel to this fear, presenting guidelines to just narrowly escape eternal pain.
