Experiences

Whenever there is a guest at the Ashram, a participant at a retreat or a friend who visited us here, we ask them to write some lines either into our guest book or by mail. People send feedback by email after reading parts of the website they really liked or they write us after being in a workshop or seminar.

Here you can read their experiences of the Ashram, of their retreats and of their time in Vrindavan and India, stories of people who read the website and more.

This is however not only a place to read! If you have visited us here at the Ashram, if you took part in any of our programs, if you enjoy our website or if you have met us while we were travelling anywhere in the world, you are more than welcome to write us your experience, send us your pictures - and you will see it here not too long after!

Words of Wisdom

  • Feelings

You can trust people only when you know them and you can only get to know them if they show what they feel. So make a start and show what you feel.

  • Religion

Not every religious person is a criminal but many criminal people are religious.

  • Meditation

Things turn out best if you do only one thing at a time. Only if you always put your full concentration on one action you can do everything with love. That is meditation.

  • Perception

Different cultural background creates different perceptions of how children should be.

  • Expectations

Among friends, in relationships or among family members you should be able to tell the other one whenever you feel that an expectation was not fulfilled.

  • Life

Stop running behind achievements and appreciation from outside. Appreciate yourself, love yourself and take time for yourself.

  • Guilt

We all are human, not god, so we do mistakes. Accept your mistake and leave your ego, then you won't feel guilty. Guilt is created when you do not accept your mistake because of your ego. Don't make yourself feel guilty for making mistakes.

You can turn Hinduism as you like, you can wish for whatever you want, heaven or liberation - it is flexible enough to grant you everything.

  • Belief

How could you, by writing a few lines or talking a few minutes, erase ideas which have been created over the course of many years or were learned while growing up? Change takes place only when a person is ready and really wants to.

  • Meditation

You don't have to sit down with crossed legs, close your eyes and breathe deeply in order to meditate. Meditation means to be completely present, to be fully aware of what you are doing in that very moment without your thoughts racing around in past or future.

  • Judging

If you made it your habit not to ever judge anything and anybody, you would get psychological problems as you would not be able to make independent decisions on your own and would never know which way to go.

  • Rituals

If you are in love with God, you don’t have to ‘do’ meditation, it takes place itself. You are in love without doing any ritual. You also don’t need to do rituals to please your God, he will feel your love in every moment. There is no need of any special prayer, any certain Mantra if you are in love with God.

  • God

After accidents some people believe it happened due to their sins and bad Karma but God saved them. Well, he saved your life but you do have broken bones. If this guy could keep you from dying, why could he not save your bones from being crushed? Was he too busy? Did he think it would look unrealistic that you have an accident and don’t even break something? Or did he really think ‘Man, you got some bad Karma over there! Not bad enough for dying but at least a bone fracture!’

  • Prejudice

Create your perception with a free mind. Prejudiced ideas of other people's advices can prevent amazing experiences.

  • Sex

Honour is something related to your dignity, to a straight and honest way of living and not related only to your sexuality. Why would a woman be dishonoured if she had sex with the one she loves even if they are not married?

  • Religion

Many religions say that women can be beaten, can be used and even donated.
