Birthday Party for Ramona

Birthday Party for Ramona - 19 Mar 10

Today is Ramona’s birthday. After a wonderful breakfast all school children came to lunch and they brought many hand-made cards giving them to Ramona to wish her a happy birthday. They had picked flowers from the garden and had made a bouquet of it.

It was overwhelming, so many beautiful cards written with much love. They made these with much art, so sweet and wrote so many nice words. Some wrote in English and others in Hindi, knowing that Ramona can read both. And then they sat down for a special party. Ramona distributed a little pocket money to all of them. Of course they had enough sweets on their plate but it is always good to have some extra money to buy for themselves. And then everybody got busy in preparing for the party tonight.

Photos of the party will be online tomorrow and I am not going to write the big surprise into the diary now, otherwise Ramona will know it already. I am writing the diary a bit early so all that we will do today still will only be party, party and party.
